Rosalía’s done it again. This time around, she takes on a much darker aesthetic, fit for a song about a nasty fight between a couple where the girl turns to sabotage and takes revenge and sets her boyfriend on fire, De Aquí No Sales. At night, a badass biker chick, echoing to the motorcycle sample on the track, donning Namilia, of course, rides with her own girl gang through the roads of La Mancha, passing by Don Quixote’s windmills – another take on classic Spanish imagery, following for example, Malamente’s modern approach to bullfighting.
The hair, makeup and murky lake full of blooming flowers is reminiscent to Björk’s Utopia album styling (and the Icelandic singer’s current image), and the look and general mood of the video can be attributed to Diana Kunst – director of other masterpieces such as A$AP Rocky and FKA Twig’s Fukk Sleep and C Tangana’s Caballo Ganador – and Mau Morgó’s direction.
