Don't you feel that the world is moving too fast at a pace that is sometimes impossible to follow? We've gotten used to receiving millions of stimuli in a matter of seconds, scheduling meeting after meeting in our busy agendas and sharing on social media everything we do, who we are with, and even what we’re having for lunch. Now, fighting this trend and inviting us to reconnect with ourselves, to take time to discover what we are doing here and to feel our emotions, GANGS OF KIN treats us to the accompanying music video for his knock-out, latest single, Cool, Calm & Collected.
Since launching in 2021, the Amsterdam-based artist, songwriter and producer Joël Gaerthé has been shaping a musical project, GANGS OF KIN, which has claimed global attention with its genre-twisting sound and unmistakable vocal talent. Today he’s presenting his latest release, Cool, Calm & Collected, which is the follow-up to genre-bending single Mass Confusion. The catchy must-listen for anyone navigating today's over-stimulating world comes along with a brilliant stop-motion video that was created and produced by Joël Gaerthé himself.

“We should all march to the beat of our own drum as we all take our time to figure out what we're doing here. Some keep changing direction. People are quick to judge on one's 'success' and as we grow up we discover that the mistakes we've made are just as valuable as the steps we've made forward,” replies Gaerthé when asked about the meaning of his last single, which comes just one month before the release of his debut EP Nature Knows No King. “Within all the chaos, aimlessness and anxiety this is a song to cancel out the noise of outer pressure. The time of splendour comes after the drought.”
