Pitti Uomo, the historic men’s fashion fair, once again set Florence ablaze with its 107th edition, gathering the best of global menswear under the theme Fire. Over 20,000 visitors immersed themselves in a vibrant atmosphere at the Fortezza da Basso, transformed into a stage for creativity and renewal. This year, MM6 Maison Margiela and Setchu were the guest designers, standing out for their ability to blend tradition and innovation.
MM6 Maison Margiela returned to Pitti after almost twenty years to present its first-ever men’s collection, designed exclusively for the event. Staying true to its signature style that celebrates imperfection as a symbol of individuality, the brand delivered a striking show at the Tepidarium del Roster, where deconstructed tailoring met contemporary expression. Meanwhile, Satoshi Kuwata, winner of the prestigious 2023 LVMH Prize, debuted with Setchu, showcasing a collection that fused Japanese tradition with Western design, focusing on sustainability and functionality. Inspired by origami and kimono, his pieces offered a modern take on menswear, marked by versatility and meticulous craftsmanship.
Among the standout brands, Herno presented its Fall/Winter 2025 collection, which combines technical innovation with the brand’s signature elegance. Featuring four lines ranging from essential and functional to luxury craftsmanship, the collection highlighted innovative fabrics, such as quilted nylon with a washed effect and a blend of wool and genuine leather. The big news of the season was Herno Maggiore, a shoe designed to complement any look, merging technical performance with an urban, sophisticated design. Made with materials like suede and boiled wool, and featuring a sports-inspired sole, this shoe marked a milestone in the brand’s expansion toward an integrated style concept.
Karl Lagerfeld’s return to Pitti Uomo was equally memorable. In the Sala della Scherma, the Maison presented an immersive black-and-white experience that reflected the dualities of Lagerfeld’s legacy. The men’s collection was complemented by women’s pieces and iconic accessories, while guests got an exclusive preview of the Spring/Summer 2025 campaign, starring Calum Harper. A private event featuring a performance by British singer Victor Ray added an intimate touch, celebrating both the brand’s legacy and its bold future vision.
This was also Guess Jeans’ third consecutive year at Pitti Uomo, and they celebrated in grand style. Their space, the Guess Man Lounge, highlighted the brand’s renewed men’s strategy with a Fall/Winter 2025 collection that embraced premium materials and a strong global expansion. The highlight of the night was a major party at the Stazione Leopolda in Florence, where guests traversed the immersive Stone to Air installation before entering a vibrant atmosphere fueled by DJ Hiver, DJ Tennis, and Francesco Del Garda. Among the attendees were Gene Gallagher, Kai Isaiah Jamal, and local figures like Sfera Ebbasta and Moise Kean, representing the perfect fusion of fashion, music, and culture that defines Guess.
We also had the chance to visit the AlphaTauri stand, Red Bull’s premium fashion lifestyle brand, where they showcased their Fall/Winter 2025 collection. Inspired by Alaska’s winter landscapes, the collection seamlessly blends functionality, technology, and design, with standout pieces like the ONYX jacket and the OPAL and OVLY bombers. Featuring innovative 3D Wholegarment® knitting technology and a color palette drawn from nature, AlphaTauri reaffirms its commitment to premium fashion that fuses performance, elegance, and a spirit of adventure.
Pitti Uomo 107 was not just a fashion fair; it was a gathering where tradition met modernity in a creative blaze that sparked passions. This edition reaffirmed Florence as the global epicentre of menswear, projecting a future where men’s fashion continues to evolve boldly, in tune with an increasingly dynamic and demanding market.
