Let’s welcome September with new music releases! High-energy singles that create a great atmosphere to return to the office such as Lazywax's latest release, the forever feel-good Love And Happiness. The Sydney-based duo, who has just signed to label Sweat It Out, now presents their nod to Al Green's 1972 classic of the same name, serving up a record that is both nostalgic and ever-current. The single comes along with a wonderful '70s-fuelled music video directed by renowned New Zealander Sam Kristofski.
Since they met in Berlin clubbing and made their debut in 2020, the Sydney-based duo has kept consolidating its project while shaping a very personal sound, becoming known for their disco cuts and nods to the '70s and '80s. Having remixed Kraak & Smaak, Poolside, Dave Lee (a.k.a Joey Negro), Roosevelt or Classixx, and after touring their live show across Australia, sharing festival line-ups with Folamour, Caribou and The Jungle Giants, among many others, Lazywax now goes one step further. Starting October this year, they will embark on a new run of dates across Australia including stops at iconic venues such as the Oxford Art Factory and The Night Cat.

“We had just bought a Prophet 5 and the first patch we pulled up is what you hear on the record. Once the groove was born, we set our horizons on building a relationship between a vocal hook and an infectious groove,” they respond when asked about their latest release, whose music video is directed by Sam Kristofski, a film director who traverses photography, commercials and oddball short films.
