Today, multi-discipline award-winning artist Factor Eight presents the music video for his latest single, Waiting For The End. Directed by Alexander Willems, the visual piece that comes along with this track, whose title pays homage to one of the artist's favourite songs of all time by Linkin Park, presents its own unique challenge: telling a story without dialogue or lyrics. Contrasting atmospheric studio sequences against candid moments shot throughout the director's and artist's quiet hometown, Saskatoon, the film mirrors the tension between inner emotional landscapes and external reality.
Waiting for the End is a literal representation of this moment in my life, realising an important chapter was coming to a close,” says Factor Eight, who has crafted music exclusively with his voice as a sonic parallel to sharing his mental health journey, when asked about his new single. After releasing his album II in 2022 and having accumulated hundreds of thousands of streams on singles such as The Beginning, Life Is But a Dream and A Voice (VI), he now unveils a single full of emotion and sensitivity that shifts toward hope and acceptance.
The music video for Waiting for the End invites us to accompany the artist on a journey through feelings, leaving aside words and opting instead for images, sounds, and emotions whose combination awakens feelings in the viewers. “Ultimately, this video is about the quiet yet chaotic moments where transformation begins.” Abstract contemporary movement becomes a language for what words cannot express, creating a deep and high-impact sensory experience.
