Chanel has been feeding us left and right. The Maison recently unveiled its Cruise 2026/27 campaign, and now it’s giving us another reason to keep our eyes on its universe. This time, the spotlight falls on Chance de Chanel, a fine jewellery collection rooted in Gabrielle’s lifelong fascination with luck and superstition.
The story began in September 2025, when the Maison introduced two talisman-inspired medals, translating Mademoiselle’s personal beliefs into precious objects designed to be worn close. Now, the collection enters its next chapter with a new Symboles medal, proving that a little superstition never goes out of style.
Crafted in yellow gold, set with diamonds and finished with iridescent white mother-of-pearl, the new medal joins its predecessors: a version combining black jade with yellow gold and diamonds, and the yellow-gold Talismans medal, also set with diamonds. The collection draws on the symbols that shaped Gabrielle Chanel’s universe, from the lion and the camellia to the comet and the ever-iconic number five.
There’s also a detail worth turning the jewellery over for: on the reverse of the new Symboles medal, the letters of the Chanel name are laser-engraved to look like a bas-relief. Gabrielle Chanel’s handwritten signature appears on a plaque at the end of the chain and on the back of the Talismans medal, where it made its fine jewellery debut. Think of them as modern-day lucky charms, only considerably more precious.
