Anticipation ripples in the photography scene as Palm* Photo Prize 2024 names its finalists, featuring the finest of today’s image-makers. Selected from an impressive pool of over 7,700 entries, the 107 shortlisted photographers have now been whittled down to 20 exceptional finalists. Now, all eyes turn to the exhibition at the Melkweg Expo in Amsterdam, poised to host the entire cohort of shortlisted artists, with its walls adorned with their collective 107 pieces of work. Serving as the stage from May 24th to June 30th, it will wrap up its display with the online announcement of winners on its final day.
Reflecting on her 2021 Palm* Photo Prize second-place victory, Guen Fiore comments: “What I always loved about Palm* is the community that it brings together. I’ve always been very proud of being part of that wonderful group of talented people every time I’ve been featured in the exhibition. Winning the second place in 2021 was an unexpected and amazing moment, it marked a turning point in my career and gave me great exposure.”
