Touch is halfway between a dancefloor favourite and a tortured love ballad. This brand new track which has just been released today via 100s + 1000s from Lebanese Australian producer Tobiahs, featuring artist and good friend Blush'ko, is a powerful song that overflows with different feelings of lust and loss of control with lyrics such as: “That’s why I need you to please just let go.”
This is the follow-up to singles like To Be Honest and Sculpted, which along this debut single back in 2017, Through To You, have helped him become one of the country's most exciting and in-demand young producers, as he managed to play the FOMO Festival in 2019 with the likes of Mura Masa. Moreover, he released the single Running, which draws inspiration from his Lebanese heritage, is a cathartic dance track inspired by the spirit of the Beirut night club scene. He then dropped Beirut, a charity EP in aid of the city's 2020 disaster, which raised over $6,000 for the Lebanese Red Cross.
Going back to Touch, he felt a sense of urgency to add a certain amount of energy to the track, which was essential through Blush'ko's vocals. Tobiahs explains: “After everything that’s happened in the past year (or more) I can’t wait to get back playing in clubs and feeding off that energy – but being locked down at home has given me space to go back to my roots and re-find my love for 2000s pop tracks.”
