Hello techno fans, this one’s for you! Acclaimed music festival Time Warp, one of the longest running events of electronic music in Europe, is back to Mannheim for a massive celebration lasting nineteen hours and bringing together over forty DJs. Divided into different areas for different genres (from industrial techno to house, to acid and more), the Maimarkt building in the small German city is ready to host, once again, people from all over the world with one goal: dance, dance, dance till they drop.
Starting in the afternoon of Saturday, April 5th, and finishing the next morning, Time Warp is known for its underground vibe and for the endurance people need to attend it. I mean, it’s endurance to dance all night long, so it isn’t that bad — but still. As usual, the German-born festival, which also has international editions in São Paulo and Madrid, among others, is back in Mannheim with a roster of artists that define the current state of the music industry.
On the first floor, some of the biggest names are set to play long sets, including Amelie Lens, Charlotte de Witte, Pan-Pot, Joseph Capriatti, Nina Kraviz, and Indira Paganotto. The second floor takes a darker turn, with artists like Richie Hawtin, Ben Klock, Sven Väth, Sedef Adasï, Adam Beyer, Haai, or Ki/Ki taking the reins of the night. On the other hand, the third floor promises a brighter, more playful approach with artists like Patrick Mason, Clara Cuvé, Daria Kolosova, DJ Heartstring, and a b2b between Mischluft and Pegassi. To top it off, floors number four and five have an eclectic lineup including Acid Pauli, Ricardo Villalobos, Black Coffee, Syreeta, Jamie Jones, Loco Dice, and b2bs between Seth Troxler and Mau P, Dixon and Chloé Caillet, and Adiel and Quest.
Since 1994, Time Warp has positioned itself at the forefront of electronic music events, condensing a star-studded lineup into a party that’s one night only — but explosive like a three-day festival. It’s an opportunity to see your favourites under the same roof, so surely not to be missed.
