Another day, another banger. Today it’s Terra, an up-and-coming Argentinian singer, songwriter, and producer who brings us a new summer anthem for a wild night out. Titled Amor Criminal (which translates as ‘criminal love’), and made in collaboration with producer Cimarrón, she sings about the thrill, the risks, and the explosive feeling that takes over your body when you fall in love, especially with someone you shouldn’t.
Before listening to Amor Criminal, forget everything you've learned from self-help books, internet gurus, and mindfulness. Terra isn't here to reflect or give it too much thought; instead, she’s diving head-first into love in a radical, spontaneous, and intuitive way. And yes, that also means ignoring some alarming red flags and not thinking about the possible destruction afterwards. But sometimes, that’s what makes it more thrilling. “Criminal love / I’ve been sentenced / I’m addicted to this poison / And I can’t stop / Oh, it’s gonna kill me / This way of loving / I’m addicted to this fight,” she sings (originally in Spanish, her mother tongue).
Speaking of her first song of 2025, Terra comments: “I wanted it to feel like you know the impact is coming but the rush tastes sweeter.” Now that we’re living in an era when everything is overthought, everything gives us anxiety, and we can’t let go of expectations, the Argentinian artist breaks away from the mould to fill electrified by love. The song is just as exciting as that feeling — it’s loud, accelerated, and high-energy.
After releasing a couple of EPs the last two years – Heroína Latina (2023) and Heroína Latina II (2024) – Terra has recharged her batteries and creativity, and is back with a banger especially fitting for the hottest season — although, ironically, it’s the coldest in Argentina, but we guess her audience there will use it to warm up their winter months.
