Barcelona is already gearing up for another festival. And honestly? It’s shaping up to be one of the best newcomers on the scene. SoundIt, which you might know from its parties at La Monumental, is stepping things up with the first edition of its own festival, taking place on 18th and 19th June at Parc Nou in El Prat de Llobregat. And the lineup couldn’t be better: Avalon Emerson, Octo Octa, Wata Igarashi, Goldie, upsammy, VTSS, Call Super, Jeff Mills, JASSS, Mall Grab, Job Jobse, Verraco, Objekt, and Carista are just some of the confirmed names.
This stellar programme will be spread across five different stages – Plaça, El·lipse (curated by DJ Nobu), Halo (led by Octo Octa), Laberint, and Eco – all aiming to deliver the richest and most varied electronic experience possible: techno, house, downtempo, jungle, dub… Every genre will be represented, so all you’ve got to do is wander around the open-air venue (which, let’s be honest, is a blessing with this weather) and see which sounds you’re vibing with the most at any given time. Think about it: twelve hours of music each day, from four in the afternoon till four in the morning — plenty of time to soak it all in. As the team at SoundIt put it, the festival was born with a clear mission: “to be a space for connection and musical discovery.”
To strengthen local ties, SoundIt has secured a couple of standout partnerships. First up is Bar Pimentel – the tapas and small plates joint in El Born – which has put together a special gourmet offering for the event. Then there’s a natural wine bar run by La Natural, who’ve even crafted a bespoke wine just for the 18th and 19th. Of course, there’ll be more food and drink options available, but it’s always great to see local collaborations like these taking shape.
With just over a week to go, there are only a few tickets left (you can grab yours here), so best make up your mind now, or risk kicking yourself later.
