In March 2024, Rhythm of Sun was released, delivering powerful basslines, shimmering arpeggios and an unmistakable nod to the golden days of 90s dance music. Now Prom Night's track receives the deluxe remix treatment, featuring a stellar lineup of producers and five reinterpretations that stretch from blissed-out Balearic to peak-time dancefloor intensity. Maruwa, Running Hot, B From E and Kasper Bjørke come together in this project to offer a unique perspective on the original’s hypnotic, hands-up groove.
Prom Night's summer anthem Rhythm of Sun returns in club-ready form with a full remix EP on his own label, Prom Night Records. Opening with Prom Night's own ambient, drumless Paradise Mix, this release follows Prom Night's recent contribution to Running Back, where he reworked Lauer's club smash MiamiSync as part of the MiamiSync 25 remix project; a standout moment that has solidified his status as one of the scene's most versatile remixers. “I wanted this remix EP to feel like a journey through different worlds, something versatile that I could use in my sets, and hopefully others could too,” he comments about his latest release.
Maruwa has shown what the process of creating her remix has been like on social media, inviting the audience to be part of this exciting experience. “While the original track is more like an ambient with almost no drums, I wanted to create a more groovy and percussive version of that,” she explains. And how did he choose the collaborators who would join this EP? Prom Night replies. "I spent quite a bit of time handpicking some of my absolute favourite producers, and I'm so grateful for each artist who contributed to this project, every remix feels like its own little universe. From beatless and slow to vibrant and pumping, I really aimed to cover a wide spectrum."
