Good morning to festival-goers, Barcelona-based people, the indies, the pop lovers, and the gays and girls! Just now, Primavera Sound announced the line-up for its Barcelona edition in 2024. From May 29th to June 2nd, the recognisable Fòrum will host a jaw-dropping array of artists that cater to the festival’s loyal fandom: Lana del Rey, Pulp, SZA, Justice, Mitski, Phoenix, FKA Twigs, Vampire Weekend, PJ Harvey, Omar Apollo, Charli XCX, Troye Sivan, 070 Shake, Ethel Cain, Peggy Gou, Jai Paul… Sounds good, doesn’t it?
As per usual, the promo video is a delight. This time, the team behind Primavera Sound honours its roots in Barcelona by turning some of the city’s most recognisable, or older, or more local, or more emblematic signs into the names of the artists that will take to the various stages of the three-day festival. We recognise FC Barcelona’s equipment, a Correos van (the national post), the famous MACBA museum building, or the Monumental (a former bullfighting ring, now repurposed to host parties and events). All the places that inspire either a celebratory feeling or the festival experience. If you’re already convinced, you can sign up to get your ticket first on the Fan Sale on November 23rd, otherwise, you can wait until the next day for the general sale. Let’s go!
