Nadie Lee Cohen Directs Aphex Twin’s “Korg Funk 5”
An Underworld of Its Own

In an unexpected turn of events, Nadia Lee Cohen has just released a music video for Aphex Twin’s Korg Funk 5. The LA-based photographer and filmmaker, known for her daring approach and strong storytelling, has teamed up with friend and fellow artist Charlie Denis for this visual piece that, so far, has been only released on Instagram.
The song was originally made in 2023, but it didn’t see the light of day until the next year, when Aphex Twin released the thirty-eight-song (!!!) album, Music from the Merch Desk (2017-2023). As the title informs, the Irish artist produced it in London, in the August of 2023, and features the electronic instrument Korg as well as his son’s vocals. Now, Nadia Lee Cohen gives the track a visual identity, featuring rapper JT as a special cameo, herself, and some decadent imagery from the best and worst of Los Angeles.
