Truly weird and experimental musicians form the line-up for Mucho Flow 2025, with These New Puritans, Infinity Knives & Brian Ennals, and Maria Somerville already confirmed for the annual font of discovery. It’ll have you running across venues in the centre of the city of Guimarães, in Portugal's Minho region from 30 October to 1 November for some mind-bending experimentalism. Here are who they’ve added to the line-up…
Announced today Los Thuthanaka, Nick León, Colombian Drone Mafia and more join Mucho Flow festival’s scheduling. Los Thuthanaka will deliver explorative electronic soundscapes and Bolivian traditions, whilst Colombian Drone Mafia & Gibrana Cervantes steer into abrasive noise, their popular Desolación track is atmospheric and ethereal, but their world exists between the vegetal and concrete jungle. Nick Léon meanwhile has the iconic song Bikini with Erika de Casier that simultaneously scratches the pop itch while staying deeply cool, it works on multiple levels. The Florida-based producer Nick León’s, music ventures into Latin rhythms and near-maximalist house sprinkled with honed vocals that are only the most tasteful of pop. Mucho Flow puts you on the guest list to a futuristic party of dreams.
What’s more there’s LUXE doing an ambient live set, Hannah Frances in the folk corner and bulldozer-punk of bbb hairdryer who double down on distortion, demanding the vocals be always on scream mode and for the drums and bass to chase them frantically. Their punk gigs are often hallucinatory. Coletivo Raso, also added today, is even more strange, offering a dense wall of sound, a sort of sonic collage, that piles up to make a clear furious outcry. Jazz and improv Portuguese rhythm-maker Pedro Melo Alves has also been announced. Mucho Flow will be a meeting of the broadly experimental genre catering to alternative tastes with thought-provoking music.
