Last Wednesday, during Men’s Fashion Week in Paris, we gathered with our community to celebrate the launch of the latest issue of METAL in collaboration with PUMA. On a hot and sunny afternoon —soon to be interrupted by a sudden summer storm —we welcomed some of our dearest friends and contributors to the modern bistro Café du Canal, by the Canal Saint-Martin, to raise a toast to the arrival of the METAL 52nd issue and share an unforgettable moment. We’d like to thank floral designer Studio Josie, production agency Pastel Services, PR agency Ritual Projects, and of course, PUMA, for making this celebration possible.
From around 5 p.m., under a blazing sun, guests began arriving at Café du Canal, the spot we chose to reconnect with many of the incredible creatives who’ve contributed to METAL, both in this new issue and previous editions: models Camille Chifflot and Lise Sauvé, photographers Daniel Roché, Alice Rosati and Elina Shevchenko, stylists Aldy Simes, Adrián Bernal, Guillem Chanzá and art director Alice Jacobs, among many others. It was a chance to thank them personally for their talent, vision, and unwavering support.
Wearing their PUMAs and taking them to new stylistic heights, guests, including long-time METAL collaborators like Aina Marcó, Rita de Rivera, Serena Pompei, Tom Goddard, and Tanguy Gavignet, as well as fashion designers Carlota Barrera and Arturo Obegero, joined us for an afternoon of good company, great style, and creative celebration amid one of the busiest weeks on the fashion calendar.
Poncho Paradela captured the energy of the evening in the images you can find below. We're already thinking about the next celebration —hopefully sooner rather than later. But for now, it’s time to continue working on the METAL 53rd print issue. Stay tuned.
