Biarritz this, Biarritz that. We all know the French city has been having a moment since the Chanel Cruise show a couple of weeks ago. Now, Chanel Beauty also draws inspiration from its natural beauty and sea breeze, delivering a versatile collection named Les Beiges.
Back in February, Chanel Beauty made a seasonal pivot with the launch of its limited-edition Coco Denim Makeup Collection, a seven-piece capsule fronted by House ambassador Lily-Rose Depp, delivering a drop that positioned blue as the defining beauty code of the season and left us wanting more. Now, they’re shifting direction entirely with the summer Les Beiges collection, swapping indigo cool and electric blue hues for Atlantic warmth and a more natural, clean-look proposal.
Taking its cues from the light and textures of Biarritz, the range favours lightweight textures and subtle tones designed to enhance the skin’s natural luminosity rather than transform it. At its core are a new serum concealer with hyaluronic acid and white camellia extract, liquid blushes named after summer foods (a peachy Délice, a strawberry red Sorbet, a cool violet Nectar) and a warm golden-beige illuminating powder. The hero piece is the Cesta Les Essentiels d'Été: an elegant basket bundling the collection’s key products like the exclusive Lumière d'Été powder, the Délice blush, or even the mascara into a ready-to-travel summer set.
