Today marks the release of Citrus, the luminous new single from Naarm-based producer, DJ, and live performer Juno Mamba. The track offers the first glimpse of his upcoming EP Flowerdrum, due October 17 via Mushroom Music, created in collaboration with Indonesian-Australian artist Rino.Ñ-L. Together, they aim to highlight Asian-Australian voices in electronic music and the wider creative sphere, building the kind of representation they lacked growing up.
2025 has already been a breakout year for Juno Mamba. In January, he supported New Order across four dates, including performances at Sydney Opera House and Sidney Myer Music Bowl. The legendary band even remarked that his sound recalled the records they loved in the ’80s. Not long after, he toured with Kiasmos, a run that introduced his cinematic, emotionally charged electronica to hundreds of new fans.
This year has also seen him lean deeper into collaboration. Following the solitary process of last year’s Cold Rush EP, he’s released five singles alongside artists such as PARIS, edapollo, and Mild Minds. Visual collaborators for Flowerdrum include photographer Jordan Coles, drawing inspiration from Wong Kar Wai, and Vietnamese-Australian illustrator Rel Pham, known for his surreal use of colour.
With nearly 10 million streams across a growing discography, Juno Mamba’s trajectory continues to rise. His European debut begins later this month with co-headline shows alongside edapollo in Barcelona and Madrid, followed by Paris, London, Berlin, Hamburg, and a slot at ADE Amsterdam with Ben Böhmer.
