Junaco's new song, Find The Melody, was written last winter deep in the woods of Northern California. The track they're releasing today is the first single off their upcoming album, set to be released in September 2025. With the rest of the world feeling far away, the band were finally able to reflect on all of the change they had been in the midst of. From that special moment, this first single was born, being a sweet, Brazilian-inspired ode to movement in our bodies and movement through life.
The song features Tyler Chester on piano, Oliver Hill (Coco) on strings, and Omar Velasco on guitar, and is the first sneak peek of their next project that they'll be presenting in a few months. "With limited daylight and no access to the internet, it really felt like we were living in our own magical little world, and the music just started appearing from there. Most of the songs felt like they came about really quickly," they tell us when we ask them about the creative process of their second full-length LP, In Motion, which arrives two years after the release of their Where Does It Go album.
With singles that reached almost a million streams on Spotify, like In Between, and others with more than two hundred thousand, such as Where Does It Go or Weightless, the In Motion album was recorded at Sonic Ranch in El Paso, TX, produced by the band and engineered by Mario Ramirez, mixed by Jake Aron and mastered by Heba Kadry. This summer they'll be touring the West Coast with Sam Weber, with confirmed dates in San Diego, Sacramento, Portland and Vancouver, among many others.
