After months of circulating as an unnamed track in DJ sets, Contesto by DOSAMIS is finally getting an official release. Made in collaboration with UK producer Massuma and now out via VOD, the track has quietly gained attention for its hypnotic rhythm, carefully layered percussion, and warm vocal textures. There’s nothing flashy here — just a well-built groove that’s been turning heads on the dancefloor, with early support from artists like Keinemusik, Carlita, and Amémé. It’s the kind of song that doesn’t need an introduction, because you probably already heard it before.
Built around a tight rhythmic base, Contesto takes its time, focusing on repetition, tension, and small shifts in texture rather than dramatic drops. The percussion leans into DOSAMIS’ North African roots, while the overall structure feels right at home in a late-night European set. There’s a nice balance of warmth and restraint — everything feels in place. The collaboration with Massuma adds depth without clutter, and the result is a track that works well at any point of a set.
This marks DOSAMIS’ second official release, following last year’s We Were High on MoBlack Records, and it shows a growing sense of direction in his sound. Still early in his career, the Paris-based DJ and producer is building a voice that feels personal without being overly polished, and the proof of that can be heard throughout the seven minutes of Contesto.
