Audiotool, the free online music production studio that is becoming the go-to destination for collaborative music production, is back with an exciting project that you can be a part of. A few months ago, we told you about the live music production competition they were leading together with DreamHack, and now it's time to analyse their most recent initiative, their new Remix Contest Series in collaboration with the Esports World Cup 2024. This association was created to deliver a global remix contest series, judged by a panel of industry professionals, offering different prizes. If you want to know more, click here.
The first thing you should know is that participation is open to everyone worldwide, online. This is precisely one of the characteristics that best define Audiotool, a company created to facilitate collaboration by offering a powerful online music production studio right in your browser that continues to prove to be up-to-date by getting closer to its community and providing very useful tools. Now, as part of their partnership with the 2024 Esports World Cup, they will be hosting a series of game audio remix contests over the course of ten weeks. And you could be the winner.
Starting from the consolidated synergy between music production and the entertainment industry, which is increasingly being conducted alongside Esports as a competitive discipline, these series will allow producers of all backgrounds to put their music production skills against the rest of the world. Those responsible for awarding the prizes to the best candidates have highly recognised and specialised profiles in this area, including Oak Felder, acclaimed producer for Demi Lovato and Nicki Minaj, celebrated for his contributions to modern pop and R&B, and Flosstradamus, the influential electronic music duo with a significant following in the EDM community.
The jury will also consist of EDM pioneer BT, Ken Lewis, the engineer and Grammy winner with credits on Uptown Funk, All of The Lights, We are Young, Lavender Haze, Girl On Fire and countless others and Jesse Carmichael, the Maroon 5 co-founder.; and Rance Dopson, founder of 1500 Sound Academy, multi-instrumentalist, and producer of JayZ. These five industry professionals will analyse the skills of all the contestants to find the best one. The overall winner will be flown to London, along with a plus one, to collaborate with leading virtual instrument developer Spitfire Audio on a commercial sample pack out of the legendary Abbey Road Studios, and every winner of one of the separate contests will get a one-year Spitfire LABS+ subscription and win a course at the famous 1500 Sound Academy.
It is worth noting that the winner will receive full credit and payment for their work and will have the opportunity to work in one of the most legendary recording studios in the world with some of the best musicians. “This will be an incredible experience for one extremely talented individual. We’re really excited to present the winner with this opportunity, but also to collaborate with an emerging music maker and see what they can do when given world-class resources in this iconic space," said Spitfire Audio Co-Founder Paul Thomson.
But, how does the remix contest work? It will revolve around remixing the official Esports World Cup anthem track produced by Brian Tyler. The stems of the anthem track will be available on Audiotool, and as we already mentioned at the beginning of this article, anyone is invited to create a remix. “This partnership is more than a great series of contests for us; our goal is to offer a stage where music and gaming cultures meet,” said Andreas Jacobi, Audiotool CEO and Co-Founder.
Not only are they offering this exclusive experience to the overall winner, but they are also offering many more prizes, including music production hardware and software worth over $25,000, among many other rewards, and every winner of one of the separate contests will get a one-year Spitfire LABS Pro subscription. If you want to join the contest, don't wait any longer and start your remix on the Audiotool website.
