Blurring the boundaries between past, present and future and championing the most absolute creative freedom, the prestigious Toronto-based experimental jewellery studio Vitaly now presents its Fall 2021 editorial, Origins. A collection in which pre and post history coexist, in the form of incredible pieces that could come from a science fiction universe. And it is that the brand ahead of its time, who in its previous proposal immersed us in a dystopian universe under the name of Metamaterials and experimented with eyewear in The Matrix collection does not stop surpassing itself in a continuous experimentation exercise.
From its label-free genderless imaginary to its massive interest in new technologies and futuristic vision, Vitaly has continued to establish itself as one of the most outstanding experimental design studios in its 10 year history. A path in which the project has explored different facets and territories, now landing in this new editorial, Origins. The incredible images allow us to get to know their new collection, which sees the introduction of brand new hero pieces including the Warp neck collar, the Fragment hinging ring or the Chaos spiked choker. But if there is something that is especially remarkable in addition to the aesthetics and attractive artistic universe that they have forged over a decade, it is the creative process and the origin of the materials with which they work.

Vitaly now works exclusively with one hundred per cent recycled stainless steel, having previously experimented with mixed materials such as wood or ceramic. A decision with which they promote the sustainability and durability of their pieces, in a firm commitment to caring for the planet. And it is precisely this relationship between recycling and steel – more than eighty per cent of the iron and carbon alloy has a second life- which means that in this new collection we can find pieces that may contain small remains of skyscrapers or bridges. Vitaly finds incredible strength in the combination of elements and the questioning of established systems.
