“Lloving the Outopia community we are building together,” they shared from the new dimension created by the fantastic Sita Abellán on Instagram after celebrating their second edition. In the same post, they also announced that t-shirts will be available very soon. This platform in which music is mixed with other arts in an atmosphere of absolute creativity is generating a new movement in the Barcelona scene. Becoming a meeting point for lovers of techno, industrial and electro sounds, its great guests and the good atmosphere is bringing more and more people to the party.
On this occasion, we could enjoy the talent of Cora Novoa, an artist on Tiga's Turbo Recordings label, and director/founder of Seeking The Velvet, an independent record label of electronic and experimental-pop music. We’ve sat down with Cora several times, the last one in May 2020 - you can read the interview here. We also saw Drazzit live, co-founder and resident of MUSA, an emerging queer platform from Barcelona that aims to give visibility mainly to LGBTQI+ and female artists. And Lee Ann Roberts, the South African born Amsterdam based who has played Secret Solstice in Iceland to BPM festival and more. All this is led by the DJ, model and entrepreneur Sita Abellán, whose determination and talent has been celebrated internationally.
Among the guests, we ran into Dovima Nurmi, Venus Plastik, Serpiente, and Victoria Banks among many others. Outopia is creating a space of tolerance, respect and enjoyment that is more necessary than ever in Barcelona, where everyone comes together to live a multisensory experience that we promise will not leave you indifferent. The countdown for their next event has already started!
