If there is a brand committed to its values and its philosophy in the current fashion scene, it is Les Benjamins. The brand founded by Bünyamin Aydin promotes the union of East and West through a global vision where different artistic disciplines converge. Now they have just launched a new capsule collection in collaboration with Azra, best known for her viral geometric henna designs. The collection consists of fourteen pieces and you can already buy it on their website.

It is no coincidence that Les Benjamins continues to bet on collaborations with artists. We have already seen how in their Spring/Summer 2022 collection they were inspired by the work of the painter Jacques Majorelle, always challenging themselves and going one step further. A good example of this was the launch of their debut fragrance line, or the opening of their inaugural store in Dubai. Now we present their new project, a unisex capsule collection in collaboration with Azra – whose full name is Azra Khamissa –, using the traditional art of henna to expand on contemporary aesthetics of henna design.

“Launching the Peace in the Middle East collection during Ramadan is a reminder that for some people, this month isn’t easy nor is it peaceful. I hope and pray that this changes,” explains the artist when asked about this new release. The collection includes a '90s-inspired denim two-piece – jacket and matching jeans – with a daisy patchwork motif, emblazoned with the phrase “Peace in the Middle East” across the back. In the fantastic campaign, we also see the same phrase and checkerboard motif across long and short-sleeved t-shirts, burgundy and sage green sweatshirts, relaxed-fit trousers, long skirts and loose shirts as well as a leather Lulu bag. What will be the next step that the brand will take? We’ll find out very soon.
