Being equally at home under the spotlight of the big stage as she is in the studio, singer-songwriter Archie has achieved to create a unique energy with her audience. More and more people see in her personal way of expressing her feelings through music a real connection, an inspiration in the form of sound and deep messages. Today she goes one step further in her professional career with the release of her new album, When Will It End? which through hope, strength and empowerment, shows us that she’s here to stay.
“This album captures some thoughts that play on my mind quite often: death and legacy in For My Years, the fact that I'm very driven by desire in Instant Crush, my need for strong boundaries in Die 4 U, and finding ways to work with myself rather than against myself in Flow,” she comments when asked about the meaning behind her debut album, whose sound has been inspired by Rina Sawayama, Bonnie Tyler and Lay Gaga, among others. “And these songs are subsequently my answers to these thoughts or at least help me to make better sense of the big feeling.”
The singer connects well with her audience by sharing what she really feels, her thoughts and her inner questions for which sometimes there is no clear answer. “Let's start with the title…When Will It End? This is something you will often hear me exclaiming in my everyday life and what I'm usually jokingly asking is “when will I die and not have to feel so much anymore?” she adds. With this new release, Archie continues to break new ground and we can't wait to know what's next for her.
