Topics such as the everyday experiences of a young adult, more poetic themes including pathetic fallacy, and imagery from nature meet on the new release from AlienBlaze featuring fellow Sumerian Records artist OmenXIII. The 20-year-old singer/songwriter and lead guitarist, who is crafting genre-fluid anthems resulting in a fascinating hybrid of everything from dark alternative pop, delivers her message in a way that allows listeners from all walks of life to interpret it. This new track encourages a sense of self-empowerment in her young audience and it’s full of strength and energy.
“I always wanted Lovesick to be a tortured love song, but it actually works even better as a duet. I just love what OmenXIII has done with his verse and I think our two styles actually give the song an extra intensity,” says the artist about her new single, in which she has joined forces with OmenXIII to create a track that takes inspiration from a multitude of artists such as Bring Me The Horizon, Linkin Park and The Cure, as well as EDM/rap elements from Lil Peep and the lyrical style of Billie Eilish.
Produced by Kid Brunswick and mixed by Dan Lancaster, the OmenXIII's verse adds an interesting twist to the track achieving a perfect synergy that features raucous guitars, colliding percussion, and a throbbing bass line. “More single releases probably to come first,” AlienBlaze responded a few days ago when a fan asked her on her social media if she would be releasing an album soon. Stay tuned!
