After making a monumental leap from beloved bedroom-pop artist to Grammy-nominated hitmaker and phenomenally acclaimed musical force, Alexander 23 has continued to grow his fanbase all over the world, carving a well-deserved foothold in the current music scene. Today he is celebrating the one-year anniversary of his debut album, and he does so with a special release which is an expanded version featuring demos of emotional fan favourites titled Aftershock (Deluxe). Tomorrow he will be performing the album in its entirety in a special performance at Ghengis Cohen, LA.
Since releasing his self-produced debut EP, I'm Sorry I Love You in 2019, Chicago-bred artist Alexander 23 has continued to work on his musical project connecting closely with his audience, earning a Grammy nomination for co-producing Olivia Rodrigo's triple-platinum good 4 u. Today he is presenting his latest project, Aftershock (Deluxe), which includes the original demo for The Hardest Part, a heartstrings-pulling song about loss and memories, alongside tracks like Hate Me If It Helps and Somebody’s Nobody. He also wanted to include in this special release the early versions of Different and What If, a touching look at the road not travelled that became Fall 2017.
July is being a month of excitement for the artist, who will be performing at a number of festivals including the Good Vibes Festival on July 22 in Malaysia and the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan on July 28. And that's not all, he will also be supporting LAUV in Asia and then Renee Rapp as she treks across North America this fall following the release of her debut album in August, which Alexander also produced.
