Fashion house Palomo Spain and sportswear giant Puma join forces once again, this time for a third, genderless collection that's all about pushing boundaries. A vibrant fusion of '80s athletic culture, '70s roller disco, and the celebration of queer identities.
Building on their successful past collaborations, the new collection blends their distinctive codes with a special direction. From premium fabrics to bold yet distinctive logos and trims, all bathed in a rich colour palette of warm tones, this collaboration is a clear evolution that speaks about the comfort and confidence both brands aim to inspire. "We've reached that point where we can understand each other well. When we got the chance to do a third collaboration, it was a beautiful process, and it was clear for us to know where we could take it and how much development we could put into fabrics," says Alejandro Palomo.
This mutual understanding is evident in the campaign itself, which offers a peek behind the scenes of a photoshoot reminiscent of Hollywood's golden era. The backdrop seamlessly merges with the narrative, setting the stage for a truly immersive experience. The collection boasts a range of standout pieces, including the hybrid Nitefox Loafer, a fresh take on the classic Palermo silhouette. Apparel offerings range from the iconic T7 Track Jacket and Track Pants in a timeless Warm White and Teak colorway to carefully crafted modern knits featuring a unique pattern reminiscent of traditional artisanal techniques.
For those who love a touch of luxury, a baby tee made from supple French terry material and exclusive graphic tees featuring a custom Puma x Palomo crest cater to a more elevated yet playful aesthetic. "I'm really excited about the knitwear," says Palomo. "I love a white look. I think you can look like the smartest and most elegant version of yourself when you're fully dressed in white." This love for white is evident in the long pants and long-sleeved knitted tracksuit, offering a luxurious and sophisticated take on sportswear.
The footwear collection reimagines the iconic Palermo with an asymmetrical colour block in a bold red hue. The trail-ready Nitefox gets a makeover, transformed into the Nitefox Loafer, combining a chunky sole unit with a traditional loafer upper adorned with playful tassel details and a sleek silver logo buckle. Rounding out the collection are a visor that continues the collection's tennis motif, a clutch bag featuring the Puma x Palomo knitted pattern in a vibrant passionfruit tone, and a sleek white Grip Bag with silver hardware.
