When we attended the Positive Education Festival in 2023, it didn’t take us long to realise that the project brought together good music, diversity, and a unique experience in a very safe space. We told you all the details in the review we shared after learning more about this event that was held for years at the historical Cité du Design in Saint-Etienne, in Southeastern France, which recently shut its doors, resulting in a change of main venue. The festival will be back from November 14 to 16 at the Parc Expo of Saint Etienne, offering a renewed concept.
In less than six months, we’ll be enjoying a new edition of Positive Education, the festival that has been boldly and decisively pioneering the electronic avant-garde for years, with one foot in versatility and the other in intransigence. The atmosphere that is breathed in by this very exciting festival continues to gain followers and moves this year to Parc Expo, a big warehouse usually dedicated to big congresses, which means larger capacity. One more step in their consolidation on the international scene of this project that keeps its essence, which captivated artists such as Partiboi69, DJ Nobu, VTSS, Blackhaine, and Donato Dozzy, among many others, who took the stage in the last edition.
Today they unveiled the lineup for their 2024 edition along with the official poster, and it looks great! From Anetha, HiTech, and Crystallmess to I Hate Models, Goldie, or Mama Snake, many and very varied confirmed profiles—and more to come—will be part of the next Positive Education call, which will be unprecedented in its scale and scope.
“We have designed this edition as a vast artistic playground, reminding us that music is as much to be listened to as it is to be lived, experienced immersively and collectively, as well as intimately and internally,” said the festival directors, who announced that this year the experience will be as much musical as it will be visual. For three days, the nights will blend with the days, with a very complete programme suitable for all tastes. “We have envisioned things on a grand scale, enriched our palette, and opened ourselves to new horizons while remaining firmly anchored in an ideal of pleasure, inclusivity, and discovery.”
Working together with the set designers from Matière Noire, a Paris-based studio acclaimed in the contemporary art and fashion scene, this year the festival continues to put emphasis on novelty, sound exploration, and the support of French and international references.
