Morocco’s premier electronic music festival, Oasis, returns for its fifth year in the spot where its story began, the gorgeous Fellah Hotel in Marrakech. Set with a backdrop of the Atlas Mountains, Oasis features some of the hottest names in electronic music, both local and international. From September 13 to 15, Marrakech is the place to be for this one-of-a-kind, cross-cultural festival.
Aiming to create an environment that reflects its name, Oasis festival is an unforgettable music experience. Revellers can dance beneath the Moroccan sun and stars to some of the hottest artists right now such as Mall Grab, Carista and Four Tet, or take a break and enjoy yoga, crystal clear pools and tropical gardens. Those attending can also take this chance to explore Morocco and Marrakech through local cuisines and cultural experiences unique to Oasis.
With the final wave of performers finally announced, the lineup is now completed. Oasis features both international established artists, up-and-coming DJs to keep an eye on, and some undiscovered local talent. New additions to the lineup include South Korean rapper, singer, DJ and producer Park Hye Jin, or Belgian producer and DJ Amelie Lens, known for her industrial sounds. Together with them, a wide range of artists such as Nicola Cruz, known for combining Andean sounds and electronic beats who’ll be presenting his newest album, Siku; Horse Meat Disco, the radically queer collective based in London; Apollonia, the three French techno veterans who’ll be coming from their DJ residency in Ibiza; or Paranoid London, the experimental duo composed by Quinn Whalley and Gerardo Delgado.
Oasis's stellar lineup wouldn't be complete without featuring a variety of local talent for the international audience to discover. Amine K, a Moroccan-born artist with a passion for the local underground electronic community joins the lineup, finding a place among the list of other local artists such as the versatile Polyswitch, now Barcelona-based Monile, and other names such as Nomads, Massimo and Malik.
Beyond the sights and sounds of the festival, Oasis offers a non-musical programme that creates a space for visitors to dive into Moroccan culture. Away from the dance floors and stages, the festival features a spa, lush bars, hookah lounge and a food scene that highlights the culinary delights of Marrakech. With Marrakech as the perfect city to transition from holidays to day-to-day work, Oasis becomes a cross-cultural event that highlights Moroccan culture and local artists and brings Morocco to the world stage.
