This season, the French fashion house takes a step forward, infusing fresh ideas into their signature laid-back work-in-progress aesthetic for their latest Resort 2024 collection. The result? A captivating lineup that seamlessly marries traditional dressmaking techniques with contemporary tailoring, showcasing the power of transformative details and unexpected pairings. As frayed hems, artful fading, and paint-splattered details take centre stage, MM6 Maison Margiela encourages a carefree approach to wearing their garments—embracing imperfections and personalisation.
The collection opens with a striking juxtaposition –dressmaking techniques borrowed from a century ago harmoniously integrated into MM6's renowned informal and relaxed aesthetic. With meticulous attention to detail, the collection seamlessly weaves together traditional techniques and a relaxed, deconstructed aesthetic, celebrating texture and shape. From oversized blazers to boxy fit vests and roomy trousers, each piece embodies minimalist elegance and invites endless possibilities for mix-and-match ensembles as resonance through opposites emerges as a key theme within the collection.

Continuing their collaboration with Salomon, MM6 Maison Margiela introduces the fourth drop of the MM6 Maison Margiela x Salomon XT-4 shoes. These shoes feature a single lace system, amped-up soles, and accent colours in purple and teal, adding a touch of vibrancy and sportiness to the collection. The Numeric bag, which made its debut last season, returns in mini and large versions, available in classic black as well as seasonal shades of sage or lime green leather. Additionally, the iconic anatomic shoe, known for its unique design, makes a comeback in a green satin ballerina style and as a low boot with a clear resin heel.
