At a time when watching the news is rather frustrating and anxiety-inducing, it’s comforting to see that there is a silver lining. To help in these crucial times, Louis Vuitton has reopened a handful of its factories in France – in Marsaz, Saint-Donat or Ducey, among others – where around three hundred volunteer artisans are producing non-surgical face masks to be donated for free to various healthcare institutions like the Marpa residence for elderly people in Sainte-Florence or the caring house Saint-Vincent de Paul in Essarts. This unprecedented collaboration is a joint effort between various companies and organizations like Mode Grand Ouest, a regional network of the textile industry aiming to fight the spread of Covid-19.
