Drawing inspiration from the German conceptual artist Joseph Beuys’ performance I Love America, and America Loves Me, the new collection between JW Anderson and A.P.C imagines the ideal Jonathan Anderson’s wardrobe giving life to a sophisticated limited capsule.
At the top of the game, the Irish designer has previously collaborated with Uniqlo and Michael Klark, reflecting the importance of harmony to deliver a common message supported by the design. His new pairing with A.P.C isn’t an exception. Teaming up, both designers deliver a collection based on the importance of basics where their meticulous attention to detail was at the front of the creative process. The collection features a series of pieces from detailed knitwear to a duffle coat, denim, and T-shirts with motifs inspired by Broadway (a wink to Beuys) and also relaxed silhouettes, in addition to some limited pieces like a tote bag and a teapot. Daily wear perfect for fall.
The limited capsule was announced through a campaign starring Kit Connor, introducing us to the items from the collection that is already available online.
