Last April 8th, Dior Homme lit up the city of Guangzhou when it showed its Winter 2015 collection. After Beijing in 2013 and Shanghai in 2014, this third international runway show took place at The Opera House, one of the most emblematic sites in the city, built by world acclaimed British architect, Zaha Hadid. The theme of the collection, “Opening Night and Day Dreaming,” echoed throughout the venue and its surroundings.
More than 600 guests attended the Dior Homme show, where many international and Chinese models walked the runway, and 40 musicians of the Guangzhou symphonic orchestra, conducted by Thomas Roussel, played the original soundtrack composed by Koudlam. “It was a privilege to return to China with our runway show. The new collection plays with the codes of a techno-sartorial elegance. Showing it in Guangzhou puts it in a new perspective,” declared Kris Van Assche, the artistic director of Dior Homme. So, the union of Dior Homme’s modernity and elegance with the beauty and innovation of the building culminated in a magnificent show.
