¿How does it feel to reach the milestones you once set out as a kid? Well, Barcelona-based artist, Bikôkô knows a thing or two about that. Today she presents us with a video where she talks about what it was like to perform for the first time at such a big festival like last June's Primavera Sound in her hometown, after her career has been slowly but surely taking off, and as she's finally able to say that she can make a living out of her true passion.
Captured by Harry Bowley's vision we can see exclusive clips from her performance at the festival. In the director's own words: “I met Neï (Bikôkô's birth name) back in January of 2021 and in such a short space of time have seen her grow and flourish into the artist she is now. We created a piece that gives a snapshot into her artistic process, life as a live performer, and a manifesto of what more is to come.”
This video gives us insight into what Bikôkô implies when she talks about the oneiric meaning of music, and how this understanding of hers has shaped her life, her memories and the start of many things, without even knowing what the ending might look like, just the journey.
