We had been seeing for a while how our Instagram feeds were flooded with videos that announced that Rosalía was working on some top secret new music video from the Dominican Republic, and it's finally here! Linda is the artist's newest single, in collaboration with irreverent Dominican star Tokischa, that is here to make you dance, sweat and sing along to a nasty dembow beat.
In an attempt to poke fun at the more than usual queerbaiting in media, the lyrics read “Nos besamos pero somos homies,” (“we kiss but we're homies”), in a light-hearted, satirical fashion; moreso with the inclusion of members of the LGBTQI+ community from Santo Domingo in the music video. Linda is clearly an ode to those friends that have become your chosen family who aren't afraid to make some noise, disturb and ultimately have fun, no matter the weather.
