Do you recall a song saying “there is a house in New Orleans”? Well, Miuccia Prada has had it in mind for Miu Miu’s Fall/Winter 2017 campaign, set between the wild landscapes of the Mississippi and the landmark for jazz music, the Preservation Hall. Shot by Alasdair McLellan and styled by Kate Grand, the video takes us to a journey through the energetic scene of Louisiana’s biggest city. Starring iconic Kate Moss, the currently omnipresent Adwoa Aboah and the Oscar-nominee Naomie Harris, we can’t help but feel the jazzy vibes running through our veins.
Nature, vivid colours, bold prints, glitter and jazz melodies are the main ingredients of the campaign. With the Preservation Hall Brass Band playing and making the full cast of models dance and have fun, the video mixes a dreamy and warm aesthetic with ‘70s vibes and outfits à la Anita Pallenberg. Coloured faux furs, giant and shimmery headpieces, feathered dresses, knits, an explosion of sparkling jewellery and lots of pailletes are Miu Miu’s recipe to make next season a happy, enjoyable and carefree one. Will you join the band?
