“Feelam is in your soul, it’s in your spirit; Feelam means to feel it, feel something, be present,” says London-based multidisciplinary artist Loshh about his debut single. The track comes out with a music video directed by Sekou Abineri, which Lossh proclaims is about “letting de spirits come down, in a private jam, letting the spirits take over so all can be felt, in our souls, in our spirits.”
Born in the Netherlands, raised in Dublin, and currently based in London, the Nigerian polymath grew up surrounded by creativity. His uncles made juju, fuji and gospel music whilst his mum would take him to jams with multi-instrumentalist musicians, so Loshh ended up teaching himself to play the drums and the guitar. Other creative outlets he’s pursued include poetry, writing and modelling. After his performance at Afropunk’s first-ever virtual festival with his six-piece band, Loshh Aje is now a rising star and considered one of the most exciting new voices in the UK.
