If you don't know Lala Berlin yet, this is a good moment to start discovering the beauties behind this German fashion brand. We are happy to introduce you its new video of the upcoming Autumn/Winter 2016/17 collection. This one was directed by the burgeoning photographer Jonas Lindstroem, who conveys the effortless and coolness spirit of the collection through the use of laid back music and pleasant images.
Lala Berlin is now a phenomenon as it has succeed in reflecting the spirit of the German capital to the world since 2004 under the creative mastermind Leyla Piedayesh. She achieves to extrapolate fleeting and anarchic Berlin in wearable pieces by experimenting with imaginative accessories, vibrant patterns and sticking prints that culminate with her unconventional elegantly feminine collections.
This time, designer Leyla Piedayesh has been inspired, as always, by her oriental roots. Persepolis –the ancient Persian capital, somewhat understood as a mystical place–, and its antique statues of mythical creatures and Middle Eastern animals, have been used as the starting point for most prints. Moreover, the urban style representative of Berlin has also a significant role.
AW16/17 could be outlined by diagonal cutlines and asymmetrical cuts as well as a3D high-low knit and one-shoulder silhouettes. In addition, black, navy, khaki and jade conform the main colour scheme of this season’s collection. In relation to the selection of qualities, it could be pointed that it is classic and innovative at the same time: tricotine, lace, leather, jersey, knitwear and the specially developed burnout velvet. But it is better to verify the charms of this collection with your own eyes. Click on play and be seduced by lala Berlin's imaginary.
