These past months, we’ve witnessed the emergence of new audio-visual formats due to social distancing and quarantine – from screen-based fashion editorials to music videos recorded from home, like Charli XCX’s. Today, we present you Eternal Lovers, a video by Madrid-based photographer Claudia Maturana shot from home, where she invited six ‘models and lovers’ to participate.
About the video, Claudia writes: “The indescribable mystery of gestural, expressive and bodily melodies represented by these six humans trapped inside their bodies and minds, and underneath their roof. They reveal themselves as projections of their souls through light and its shadows. In some, the eternal darkness overflows; in others, it just awaits.” Set in a dark, sombre atmosphere, we see the models – Milena Smit, Pablo Muriel, Margot Van Looy, Anabel Huijberts, Juan Torres and Dário de Maturana – smoking, painting, taking a bath, playing with makeup, DJing or even making out with a bust sculpture as they overcome boredom from being on lockdown.
