Out today, Everybody Falls Apart Sometimes finds Reigns at her most exposed. Released in line with Mental Health Awareness Week, the track moves away from the pulse of her recent work and leans into something more intimate. After the cinematic energy of Closer Than Your Shadow, this new single feels quieter and more reflective, allowing the emotion at its core room to breathe.
The song was written shortly after the loss of her cousin, during a session with Dee Adam and Rory O’Hara. Reigns later shared how difficult it was to even sit with the track, let alone release it. “My first EP was rooted in grief — a body of work that helped me begin to process something very personal,” she explains. What began as a way of holding that moment gradually became something she felt ready to share, both as a tribute and as a way to open up conversations around mental health.
Built around piano and soft cinematic strings, the track unfolds gently. “I feel you walking circles in my head” arrives early, setting a tone that stays close throughout. The chorus carries a simple line, repeated without excess: everybody falls apart sometimes. It lands because it feels honest, without trying to say more than it needs to. “I wasn’t sure if I’d ever release it,” she admits. “But I realised if it helped me process it, maybe it could help someone else feel a little less alone.”
Alongside the release, Reigns continues to build her live presence, with sold-out London shows behind her and upcoming dates across the UK, including Brighton and festival stages, before joining Rebecca Ferguson on tour this June.
