Pull&Bear has officially made its debut on the runway at London Fashion Week, and we are living for it. The brand’s inaugural show was a collaboration with emerging designer Marie Lueder, a partnership that fuses her artistic and conceptual vision with Pull&Bear’s global market and more commercial approach.
In case you missed this, a while ago Pull&Bear announced they’d play a pivotal role in Canvas for Creativity, a project that led the brand to become the main sponsor of the British Fashion Council NewGen, a platform that has launched the careers of industry giants like Alexander McQueen and J.W. Anderson. Through this programme, the BFC aims to reinforce its commitment to emerging creativity, offering promising designers resources and global visibility. And for that, Pull&Bear is the perfect partner.
For the occasion, they’ve chosen to team up with Marie Lueder, known for her conceptual approach to design, blending the ancestral with the contemporary, and infusing her pieces with influences from club culture and urban life. Her work often explores how clothing can act as a form of “figurative armour” and a “conduit for mental well-being.” She is recognised for creating a hybrid aesthetic that fuses sportswear and functional design with a meticulous sartorial detail, a result of her background as a tailor.
For this collaboration, Pull&Bear and Marie delivered a collection of twenty garments and six accessories, reinterpreting the designer’s aesthetic, blending medieval imagery with elements of urban and nightlife. The collection is defined by experimental silhouettes, the use of technical fabrics like sheer nylon and washed denim, and an earthy, faded colour palette. A standout feature is its gender-fluid approach, offering an inclusive and deconstructed take on fashion that breaks traditional rules and directly connects with a young, uninhibited audience.
