After a delightful third edition on the coast of Caparica, Portugal, which we attended earlier in June (see the review here), Moga festival is ready for a second round. This time in Essaouira, Morocco, its birthplace. To celebrate the fifth edition, the festival has confirmed some of the first names that we’ll see behind the decks from October 4 to 8.
This first line-up blends both Moroccan, Portuguese and international talent that will play across the five different stages of the festival. Names including Jayda G, A Guy Called Gerald, Oceanvs Orientalis, Peach, Fumiya Tanaka, Maayan Nidam, Quest, Prins Thomas, Guedra Guedra, Kalabrese, and Fiona will travel to the Sofitel Essaouira Mogador Golf Hotel & Spa, where the festival’s ‘in’ programme is taking place on the 6th, 7th, and 8th of October. The previous two days, different Souiri establishments will host the ‘off’ programme consisting of yoga classes, workshops, and concerts at La Sqala.
Moga aims to connect people from across the globe through their love for music and wellness, curiosity in local culture, and respect for the environment. This past edition of Moga Caparica received nearly fifteen thousand people, while the Moroccan counterpart expects to surpass sixteen thousand festival-goers throughout the five-day event. If you don’t want to miss the event, you can get your tickets here and start planning with your friends.
