Louis Vuitton’s Colormania collection is a celebration of the art of travel. The luxury house is very well-known for its special interest, craftsmanship, and development of its signature bags and travel items, which has been developing, perfecting and innovating for over a century, elevating the status of travel bags and suitcases. For Louis Vuitton’s City Guides collection, which turns twenty-five this year, the Maison offers a wide selection of travel items curated in seven vibrant colours: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, pink and purple.
Items in the collection are crafted from Louis Vuitton’s iconic Monogram Macassar canvas, specially dyed for the occasion. Pieces with a zipper, such as handbags, toiletry bags, or key chains have an interior lining that matches the exterior colour. Smaller accessories like pochettes, passport covers, card holders, coin holders, or pocket organizers feature a distinctive colour block. Embossed leather luggage tags, designed from the Louis Vuitton seal rescued from the archives, add a flirty pop of colour to the accessories.
The collection also includes a selection of suitcases and hard cases in Monogram Macassar accentuated with vibrant hues and coordinating coatings. These include the modern Courrier Lozine 110 trunk, the Pyramide 4 x Bisten briefcase quartet, the Cotteville 16 watch case, or the Boite Chapeau 30 hat box.
