Whether we’re ready to accept it or not, summer is almost over. Once we’ve made it past September, everyone – and with everyone, I mean especially Netflix, supermarkets and brands – will go crazyyy about Halloween. Couples will discuss their costumes for hours, and all of a sudden, everyone wants to stay at home, cuddle up, and maybe drink a pumpkin spice latte (without admitting they actually like it). And with this time of year comes, once again, the beloved annual hunt for the perfect piece for a stylish yet cozy wardrobe – and the answer is simple: the belted leather jackets from Loewe’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection.
The material of these jackets is nothing less than the best of the best: Nappa Plongé lambskin, a French leather that undergoes a unique water-submersion process, resulting in an incredibly soft surface free from added pigments. Meticulously handcrafted by the House’s own artisans in their Barcelona ateliers, each piece tells a story of both innovation and tradition. At the same time, the precise yet subtly distorted silhouettes, combined with the flawless texture and modern buckles, lend the jackets an almost surreal, dreamlike quality, one that still feels structured and architectural. In this way, the pieces stay unmistakably true to the design identity we’ve come to love Loewe for.
Overall, the collection includes two versions, both featured in the Fall/Winter 2025 campaign: a simple, elegant shape combined with a high collar, worn by brand ambassador and actor Jiang Qiming; and a more extravagant version with a sculptural hem and wide lapel, worn by British actress Lesley Manville. And just by looking at the images, we know: it’s so good, you could even keep it on while cuddling up in bed with a pumpkin spice latte in hand.
