Fashion meets the silver screen in Loewe's new partnership with acclaimed Chinese actor, singer, and motorcycle racer Wang Yibo. In commemoration of his new role as Global Brand Ambassador, the performer will attend Loewe’s Spring/Summer 2025 runway show in Paris, takin place in just a few days. Other ambassadors of the Spanish luxury house include Taeyong, Josh O’Connor, and Jamie Dornan.
But the partnership with the multi-hyphenate isn’t just a story of bridging gaps. Creative Director Jonathan Anderson observes an echo between the fashion house and the actor’s approaches. He notes that Wang Yibo’s desire to explore new fields “resonates with Loewe’s own prismatic identity.” Similarly, Wang Yibo finds himself attracted to the fashion house’s “unique visual language” that draws inspiration from the art world, and from the humour of everyday life.
Loewe is certainly steeped in tradition, history, and artisan luxury, but remains adaptable and thus stays relevant as the decades go by. The partnership with multitalented international ambassadors like Wang Yibo feels only natural for a fashion house that consistently seeks to grow and evolve.
