There are some pieces in fashion that just hit differently. They don't scream for attention, yet they effortlessly become classics. The Loewe Puzzle bag is one of them. This season marks a turning point as the iconic Puzzle bag enters the collection for the first time, now reimagined with cascading layers of colourful leather that amplify its architectural structure.
We have seen Loewe constantly reinventing their classics (their latest anniversary collection says it all), and now they have done it again. Originally introduced in the Fall/Winter 2024 pre-collection, the Landscape series channels the raw beauty of natural topographies, from coastal striations to carved rock formations, into luxurious leather forms. Alongside it, a new edition of the Flamenco Clutch and a range of small leather goods, from wallets to cardholders, embrace the same undulating gradients of colour and texture, tying the collection together with a refined, sculptural language.
But behind every piece lies a mastery of technique. At the atelier, artisans shape the collection using intricate leather-working methods, cutting and compressing sections to create organic ripples that mimic terrain. The process includes skiving: a delicate craft where thin layers of leather are shaved away to reveal contrasting colours beneath, creating depth and dimension that evolve across the surface. The result is a line of accessories that feel alive not only visually but also emotionally, offering a rich, grounded connection between nature, material, and, of course, fashion.
