Now that the holidays are long gone, we all dream of a sort of escapism — something, any little excuse, that can bring some of that fantastic time back into our lives. Jonathan Anderson is known for allowing us to daydream with his work, and that wasn’t going to change now that he’s at Dior. Today, he presents a beautiful campaign for the Lady Dior bag, one of the Maison’s most emblematic and coveted pieces, lensed by David Sims and starring three era-defining actresses: Mia Goth, Mikey Madison, and Greta Lee.
“The Lady Dior is one of the most iconic bags in history. I love that when you pair it with someone like Mia, Greta or Mikey, it suddenly becomes something new,” Anderson states. And, oh, he is so right! Because each of these muses, who’ve entertained massive audiences with cinematic masterpieces like Anora, Past Lives, or Pearl, embody a different side of the Dior woman: elegant, cultured, multifaceted, caring, and imaginative.
In this campaign, we see Mia, Greta, and Mikey roaming makeup free and with a laid-back attitude through the Pavillon de la Musique de la Comtesse du Barry, an 18th-century building that’s the epitome of French grandeur, something that Anderson referenced in his first designs for the Maison. Strolling through the magnificent building and the lush surrounding gardens, the actresses and Dior ambassadors give new meaning to one of the Maison’s most valuable pieces: the Lady Dior bag.
