Hermès found its ideal setting in Shanghai's North Bund Bay to present the second chapter of its Fall/Winter 2025 collection. The city —a bridge between the ancestral and the futuristic— resonated with the vision of Nadège Vanhée, creative director of the maison. The modular structure where the show took place, with movable panels that gave a glimpse of Lujiazui's avant-garde and luminous skyline, was more than just a set: it became a metaphor for the spirit of the collection. The proposal explores the duality between the natural and the urban, between the functional and the ethereal, between modernity and aspiration.
In this collection, Vanhée once again shows us her vision of femininity, which is never passive: the Hermès woman is an explorer of the everyday. Her garments do not seek to be spectacular but to adapt to the rhythm of a changing life. Here, utility is transformed into beauty and design into a form of intelligence. That is why the collection is called Au Galop!, reflecting the serious mischievousness of Hermès while maintaining its constructed codes: equestrian elegance, clean silhouettes and refined functionality.
The models walked the runway with rhythm and determination, wearing modern, dynamic and multi-functional garments, many designed to be worn in multiple ways because, according to Vanhée, versatility equals longevity. Inspired by the Dressage Tressage carré, the symbolic braid appears throughout the collection in seams, fabrics, collars and detachable fastenings. Neutral and earthy tones dominate here, with accents of brighter colours such as burgundy, Hermès orange or lavender.
This collection is pure Hermès, and, while not particularly surprising, Vanhée shows us that in an era saturated with fleeting trends, what matters is what remains with meaning and depth. We want to be that Hermès woman: with versatile looks, natural fabrics like silk, leather and cashmere, and sturdy shoes for hours of walking around town, with our own Hermès headphones. And if you want to give the Mini Kelly a different twist, try wearing it crossed and high, almost like a necklace. We love that idea.
