The 1970s have never been as hot as now. For the Gucci Pre-Fall 2025 season, Sabato de Sarno takes notes on the simplicity of the silhouettes and adds it a modern touch to deliver a collection effortlessly chic — for both men and women. For a couple seasons now, the Italian House’s Creative Director has been taking us into his quiet luxury vision, exploring the House codes and translating them into the new era, where timeless is the most popular slang of the fashion industry.
Gucci’s latest collection is a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity. For women, the collection offers tailored pieces with feminine touches, such as fitted jackets paired with tailored trousers and adorned with scarves and unique patterns. Menswear leans towards a relaxed silhouette, featuring oversized blazers and comfortable trousers with playful accents like bow-tie collars.
Key elements of the collection include the reimagined Flora motif in a bandana-inspired style, luxurious outerwear crafted from high-quality materials, and accessories like the Jackie 1961 and Blondie bags, reinterpreted with contemporary twists. Bold jewellery and sleek sunglasses complete the look, adding a touch of glamour and individuality. Are we entering the most minimalistic era of Gucci so far? Could be.
